We are two brothers, Julio and Mauricio Torres, born and raised in the heart of Muzo, Colombia, the emerald capital of the world. Growing up surrounded by the green glow of these precious stones, we spent our early years learning the craft passed down through generations in our mining community in Colombia.

With over 40 years of experience, we’ve devoted our lives to the art of sourcing and importing natural Colombian emeralds. Our deep connection to the land has driven our passion to bring the unmatched beauty of these gems to our customers internationally.

The name Itoco is inspired by the rich heritage of Muzo, Colombia. Itoco was the name of a legendary Muzo indigenous chief who symbolizes strength and wisdom in indigenous Colombia. By choosing this name, we honor Colombian ancestral roots and Itoco’s cultural legacy.
